Skills to self-reliance: our youth vocational training in action

Nigeria's young people are brimming with talent and ambition. What many of them lack is not ability, but opportunity — a first door into the world of work. Our Youth Skills & Employability programme is built to open that door.

Skills that the market rewards

This session focused on practical, in-demand skills — the kind that translate directly into income. Participants trained hands-on, learning trades and services chosen because the local economy actually values them. Alongside the technical skills, we covered the essentials of entrepreneurship: how to find customers, price fairly, and manage money.

From certificate to career

A certificate on its own changes little. That's why every graduate left with more than a qualification — they left with a plan, a starter toolkit, and a mentor to guide them through the fragile early months of earning. Follow-through is where training becomes transformation.

The road ahead

We measure success not by how many people we trained, but by how many are earning a living months later. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

From skills to self-reliance — that is how lasting change is built, one young person at a time. Sponsor a trainee or offer mentorship to help a young person take their first step.
