Inclusion is not a single project at Cheriven — it is a promise woven through everything we do. Persons with special needs are too often the last to be reached and the first to be forgotten. We are working to change that, so that no one is left behind on the path to dignity and opportunity.
Why it matters
Across our host communities, people living with special needs frequently face compounded disadvantage: limited access to education, fewer economic opportunities, and social exclusion. When empowerment programmes are not designed with them in mind, they quietly widen the very gaps they set out to close.
How we work
- Accessible by design. We adapt our education, empowerment and skills programmes — venues, materials and teaching methods — so they are welcoming and usable for persons with special needs.
- Individual support. We meet beneficiaries where they are, tailoring training, mentorship and follow-up to each person's abilities and goals.
- Family and community. We work alongside families and caregivers, and we advocate within communities to challenge stigma and build genuine belonging.
Our commitment
Everyone belongs. Every programme we run is measured not only by how many people it reaches, but by how completely it includes the people who are hardest to reach.
By keeping inclusion at the centre of our design, we help ensure that dignity, opportunity and hope are shared by all — not just the easily reached.
