Widows Support & Grant Day

A day set aside to honour, encourage and equip widows in our community. Widows Support & Grant Day is both a celebration and a launchpad — a chance for women to be seen, to connect with one another, and to receive the practical support they need to build independent livelihoods.

What the day includes

• Micro-grants to provide start-up capital for small businesses.
• Business mentorship and short, practical training sessions.
• A community network — connecting widows into peer support groups that continue long after the event.
• Encouragement and celebration of the strength and resilience of the women we serve.

Why we do this

Widows are among the most vulnerable in our society, yet also among the most determined. With the right support, they don't just recover — they thrive, and they lift their families with them.
