For many vulnerable children in Nigeria, especially orphans, street-connected youth, and those from extremely low-income households, school is a distant dream. Poverty, caregiving responsibilities, disability, or the loss of a parent often force them out of the classroom before they’ve even learned to read.
At Cheriven Empowerment Foundation, we believe every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Our Education & Back-to-School Support programme removes barriers to education by providing holistic, practical assistance that goes beyond tuition fees.
Scholarship Sponsorship: Full or partial support for school fees, uniforms, books, and exam costs for qualified needy children.
Re-enrollment Drives: Active outreach to identify and reintegrate out-of-school children into formal or alternative learning systems.
Learning Materials: Distribution of backpacks, notebooks, writing tools, and hygiene kits to reduce household burdens.
Mentorship & Academic Support: Regular check-ins, tutoring, and guidance to help students stay motivated and succeed.
Inclusive Access: Specialized support for children with disabilities, including assistive devices and inclusive school placement.
Every child we return to school isn’t just gaining an education—they’re gaining confidence, safety, and a pathway out of poverty. Many of our beneficiaries go on to complete secondary education, pursue vocational training, or become role models in their communities.
